Frequently Asked Questions about EM Collars

What is an EM collar?

The EM collar is a natural dog collar that uses EM (Effective Microorganisms) ceramic beads to protect against fleas and ticks. These beads emit natural vibrations that disturb the pests and reduce their attraction to your pet.

Can the EM collar be used as a regular collar?

No. The EM collar is not intended for tethering dogs. It can only be used as an ID collar. The problem is that the EM tubes would break due to pulling, which would then create a hole in that spot.

What do I do if it's time to charge the EM collar and there's no sun outside?

EM tubes are charged with energy only by exposure to the sun. It is best for them to be placed in the hottest sun for two hours. In the meantime, it is recommended to rotate them a little so that the sunlight reaches every hidden part of the EM tube.

In the months when there is less sunlight (November - February), place the collar in the sun for several hours at a time, as the sun is no longer as intense as in the other months.

How do I maintain the EM collar?

For best results:

- Rinse the collar with water once a week to activate the beads

- dry it in the sun, and turn the tubes every now and then

- regularly check that the collar is clean and undamaged

What do I do if the tube falls out of the collar?

Sometimes it happens that a tube bursts or breaks. It's not a big deal. The collar needs to be replaced if more than three tubes burst.

This does not mean that the tubes will just burst. It takes quite a bit of force and pressure or pulling on the collar to break the tubes.

How often do I need to change the EM collar?

EM tubes do not have an expiration date, but they emit their maximum power in the first year of use. Therefore, I recommend that the collars be replaced every year for best performance.

How does an EM collar work?

The EM collar works because of the effective microorganisms it contains, which means it naturally repels ticks and fleas. The ceramic beads contain microorganisms that improve the energy field of your dog's skin and coat.

Are EM collars safe?

Yes. EM collars are completely safe. They do not contain chemicals and are suitable even for sensitive dogs, puppies and pregnant bitches.

What is the difference between a regular collar and an EM collar?

The regular collar, like the EM collar, is made of paracord. However, only the EM collar is designed to prevent fleas and ticks and has added gray tubes containing microorganisms.

What are effective microorganisms (EM) and how does the collar work?

EM stands for Effective Organisms - it's the brand name for a family of microbial-based products that use technology developed by Japanese scientist Dr. Teruo Higa.

EM collars are 100% natural, odorless and do not stain.

EM ceramics are made by fermenting special clays with approximately 80 different microorganisms. EM elements are fired at a temperature of 1200 degrees Celsius and retain their properties indefinitely, as the clay structure changes during firing. As a result, these EM tubes exert their influence solely through their physical properties.

EM collars contain effective microorganisms that act against parasites, but also have other positive effects on the dog's body. These organisms emit far infrared rays. This wavelength is very compatible with human and animal tissues. The body absorbs them up to 3 cm deep.

Some dogs become calmer and more balanced thanks to EM collars, while some have a completely different coat. It becomes softer and shinier.

How is the EM collar used?

Maintenance instructions:

- wash the collar every 14 days under lukewarm water and dry it in the warm sun so that the EM tubes are filled with the heat and energy of the sun

- you should never wash it with soap or other chemical cleaners.

- if you use any other protection, especially oil-based, in addition to the EM collar, make sure that it does not come into contact with the EM collar

- The EM collar is not suitable for attaching a leash

- for maximum effect, the dog should wear the EM collar 24 hours a day

- a dog can swim with a collar, but not in a pool with chlorine or any other chemical ingredients added

NOTE!!

The maximum effect of the collar may only be seen after 4 weeks of use. I recommend placing the collar in the warm sun for a few hours before use to activate the EM tubes.

For the first four weeks, the dog should wear it 24 hours a day, and then you can take it off at night.

Like other flea collars, the EM collar is not 100% guaranteed to work, so I advise you to monitor your dog and check it regularly.

Can I use the EM collar together with other protective equipment?

Of course! EM collars are a great addition to other protection methods for extra security

How is an EM collar made?

The EM collar consists of an EM tube, paracord cord and a closure (stopper or braided closure).

I prefer to make the EM collar with the COBRA pattern because I find it best protects the EM tubes due to its shape and thickness.

For larger dogs I use thicker paracord, and for smaller dogs I use thinner paracord. However, it is not a rule. You choose the thickness and color of the cord yourself.

Paracord rope withstands salt water, mud, and all kinds of dirt.

The collar is designed so that you can easily place it over your head, as it has an easy system. This means that you can increase or decrease it by as much as ten centimeters.
